Prayagraj: Head Coach of Northern Football Academy Indranil Ghosh has been nominated for the Best Technical Official in the National PEFI Award (Physical Education Foundation of India). PEFI is a national sports promotion organization certified by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India.
National PEFI Award given in the field of physical education and sports has been announced, this time this national award will be given to 29 sports teachers, coaches, trainers, sports managers, technical officials who are making outstanding contribution in the field of physical education and sports on 24th November at NDMC Convention Hall, New Delhi.
Indranil has worked as a Technical Official and Sports Manager in many national & international competitions like Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010, Jharkhand National Games 2011, Asian Badminton Championship, Junior Asian Tennis Championship 2012, SAFF (South Asian) International Football Championship 2011, 2015, Inter AG & Audit Football Tournament etc.
Apart from this, he has been a coach in many national football competitions in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep as well as Allahabad University, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj Division. Recently, Indranil was also the Goalkeeper Coach of the Tripura team in the Santosh Trophy Senior Men’s and Women’s National Competition. Kunal, Joint Secretary of the Sports Ministry, Ashok Dhyanchand, Arjun Awardee & former National Hockey player will be present as chief guests in the program. This information was given to Indranil by Dr. Chetan Kumar, Secretary of the Award Committee, through email and he also told that this is the seventh edition of PEFI’s National Award.
