Prayagraj: Bishop Din Dayal Carol Choir Competition concluded at All Saints Cathedral Church, Civil Lines on Saturday. Bishop Morris Edgar Dan of Diocese of Lucknow was the chief guest of the program. More than ten college choirs showcased their talent in the competition and mesmerized everyone with beautiful songs. The joy of Christmas started with a carol singing competition in the All Saints Cathedral Church in memory of the first Bishop Din Dayal of Lucknow Diocese. Students from more than a dozen missionary schools of the city came together. The chief guest in the program was Bishop Morris Dan, Bishop of Lucknow Church of North India. After the prayer meeting the priest of the church welcomed the chief guests. After the special prayer meeting in the church people of Christ Society recited carols. They also conducted candle light service, after which they circumambulation the church with candles in their hands. Under the leadership of Babylon Society of India, vigorous preparations have been made to light the flame of hope. For this, all the church Christians along with their families participated. All the people also participated in the candle light service from every house. The joy of the arrival of Lord Jesus has started with carol singing. People present at the event enjoyed beautiful performances at the Christian Music Competition. The colleges participating in the competition included institutions like Erny Memorial College, Leprechaun Mission, Bishop Johnson Girls, YMCA, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Sam Higgin Bottom College and Bible Seminary. On this occasion, the chief guest Bishop Morris Edgar Dan, while addressing the congregation, said that on the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, God’s angels sang songs with enthusiasm, after which carol singing has been going on. The program was conducted by Rev. Dr. Vinita Eusebius, Presbyter Incharge of All Saints Cathedral Church. Mainly people present in the program were Pastor Kamla Singh, Smriti Singh, Arun Paul, Rajeev Prasad, Anukriti Joshi, Pastor William Hariprasad, Pastor SP Lal Mudit Mohan Srivastava, Sunil Kumar Verma etc.

Candle light service today: Candle light service has been organized at Holy Trinity Church on Sunday from 6:00 pm. Candle light service and carol competition have also been organized in other churches on different days.
