Prayagraj: On Thursday, a candle light service program was organized at Muirabad St. Peter’s Church in which a large number of Christians participated. The program was conducted by the presbyter in-charge of the church, Pastor Praveen Massey. The Bible reading during the service was from Psalm 18:28 which reads “For you will light my lamp; Jehovah my God will take away my darkness.” Reflecting on this chapter, Pastor Praveen Massey said that Christians believe that Lord Jesus came into this world to change the darkness of our lives i.e. despair into light. He told that when we are disappointed and troubled in our life, then prayer and faith are the only option which can get us out of all these problems. During the program, songs of Jesus’ arrival were presented by the church choirs. At the end of the program, the church people met each other and congratulated each other on the Christmas festival in advance. Program coordinator Anant David said that preparations for Christmas are being made with the help of the Pastorate Committee, about which everyone is excited. Candle light service and special prayer meeting has been organized at St. John’s Church on Friday at 7:00 pm located near Sameera Hotel, Dr. KN Katju Road.
