16 items of jewellery distributed to women

Prayagraj: Saawan Mahotsav was organized by Vikas Jagrook Samiti in KDLC Convent School, Shastri Nagar, Meerapur. On this occasion, women participated in large numbers and sang bhajans, kajri, poems and antakshari songs based on the songs of Saawan and enjoyed the festival. On this occasion, committee president Abhishek Thakur and BJP spokesperson Rajesh Kesarwani congratulated all the women on Saawan Mahotsav and said that the month of Saawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and this month is a symbol of prosperity of the farmers and is the month of sixteen adornments for married women. On this occasion, he distributed 16 adornments items to the women, which includes bangles, bracelets, bindis, anklets, kajal, mehndi, turmeric, powder, cream, nail polish, saree etc.

The program was presided over by women president Rachna Verma and coordinator Manjusha Singh and conducted by acting president Amita Shukla. On this occasion, Dinesh Kanaujia, Rani Chaurasia, Sudha Sahu, Vinita Kesarwani, Poonam Chaurasia, Taru Yadav, Sanjana Shobha Kesarwani, Anju Malviya, Sunita Yadav, Asha Srivastava, Sunita Vishwakarma, Sanjana Saxena, Sapna Singh, Madhuri Devi, Neetu Kanaujia, Pinky Kanaujia and hundreds of women were present.
