Prayagraj: Keeping in mind the waterlogging in the city due to monsoon, the bad condition of the roads and the safety of the children, the General Secretary of the Prayag Mahila Vyapar Mandal, Pallavi Arora, submitted an application to the newly arrived District Magistrate Manish Verma. In this application, she especially mentioned the problems being faced by the children, parents and teachers and requested that the schools be given a holiday for a few days or the facility of online teaching be implemented.
Rana Chawla, President, Prayag Vyapar Mandal said: “This prompt action taken by the administration is highly commendable. Giving priority to the safety of children and teachers is certainly a sign of responsible governance. We stand with the district administration.”
Avantika Tandon, President, Mahila Vyapar Mandal said: “This decision was very necessary from the point of view of humanity. We appreciate the promptness of the district administration and the activism of Pallavi Arora ji. The concerns of children, parents and teachers were given priority, it is commendable.” General Secretary Pallavi Arora urged the District Magistrate and said: “The difficulties faced by children in reaching schools, waterlogging on roads and traffic problems are very serious. The safety of children and teachers is paramount. The administration is requested to take a quick decision and take concrete steps in public interest.” The District Magistrate took prompt cognizance of the application and decided to declare holiday in all the schools of Prayagraj from 5 August to 8 August 2025. This decision is not only a positive step towards the safety of children, but also shows that the district administration is sensitive towards the problems of the common man.
This step has been appreciated by various business boards: Prayag Vyapar Mandal and District Women’s Business Board, Prayagraj have expressed their gratitude to the District Magistrate and welcomed this quick decision.
