Under Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme
Prayagraj: Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) today, on August 5, 2025, organized a two-day tablet distribution ceremony under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme (Yuva Saathi). The chief guest for the event was Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Convener of NITI Aayog.
The ceremony commenced with a prayer led by University Chaplain Lal Chung Gangte. Following the prayer, the University’s Additional Registrar addressed the students, stating that a tablet is a crucial tool for students and professionals in today’s world. He highlighted that tablets provide freedom for learning and running various applications and advised the students to use them wisely and for their intended purpose.
Chief Guest *Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh extended his thanks to the Vice-Chancellor of SHUATS, Professor Dr. Rajendra B. Lal, and the university administration. He provided details on the various student welfare schemes being run under the leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and congratulated the 160 students who received the tablets today. The event was attended by Director of PR and Development *Dr. Ramakant Dubey, Additional Registrar Dr. CJ Wesley, Associate Dean of NAI Dr. Deepak Bose, along with a large number of staff and students. This ceremony marks a significant step towards promoting digital education and empowering students.
