Prayagraj; An investiture ceremony was organized at Bishop Johnson Girls School and College on Mission Road on Monday. The program began with a prayer by the school chaplain Rev. Ajit Oliver Francis, after which the chief guest Bishop Morris Edgar Dan inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Principal Shirley Masih welcomed all the guests, after which the teachers presented bouquets to the guests.
The school choir presented the song “Showers of Blessing” on this occasion. After which, under the guidance of PTI Ishrat Arif and Balram Pandey, badges and sashes were given to all the selected students. In the same sequence, College Head Girl Sanskriti Srivastava, Sanskriti Dwivedi (College Vice Head Girl) were selected and students on various other posts were sworn in for their posts. The students were selected by a committee which included senior teacher Sandeep Balfour, school supervisor Kalyani Mukherjee, Sharon Lariviere, Elvina Karan, Anita Tiwari, Ritu Sharma, Selma Swaroop, Saumya Kesarwani. Chief guest Bishop Morris Edgar Dan said in his address that it is very important to bring a sense of leadership in students. With this, they understand their responsibility and also inspire others and by appointing students to various posts, they become accountable for their work and when students work together, the sense of discipline and team-work increases. The program ended with the national anthem. Office Superintendent Sanjay Walter Karan, Program Coordinator Mudit Mohan Srivastava, Balram Mishra, Sushil Kumar Mishra, Siddharth Walter etc. were present in the program.
