Prayagraj: District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma was thanked by Rana Chawla, President, Prayag Vyapar Mandal, Avantika Tandon, District President, Women’s Vyapar Mandal, Pallavi Arora, General Secretary, Hina Khan, Senior VP, on behalf of all the trade boards and informed about the relief being provided to the public by the ongoing encroachment drive by the administration and the Municipal Corporation.
After meeting Dr. Ajay Pal, Additional Commissioner Law and Order, it was requested that police force be deployed for monitoring so that encroachment does not come back after removal by the Municipal Corporation. It is requested to take strict steps to shift the vendors of the vending zone to the land (dharna sthal) allotted by the Municipal Corporation, so that their business is not affected and ours also runs smoothly. The city dwellers have heaved a sigh of relief with this step and the public is happy. The markets are being harassed due to the online market and due to traffic jams in the city, the movement of customers is being affected due to traffic restrictions.
Requested that till Diwali, encroachment drive should be conducted daily on various roads of Civil Lines, especially MG Marg, SP Marg, PDA to Nawab Yusuf Road, Elgin Road, Chowk Bazaar Johnstonganj to Ghantaghar and Katra, so that the roads remain empty and businessmen can do their business with peace, success and security and the city residents can shop. This step of yours will help the businessmen of Prayagraj a lot.
