Prayagraj: The Central Library of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) is celebrating Hindi Pakhwada from September 8 to September 22, 2025, in honor of Hindi Diwas (September 14). The two-week-long event has been organized to promote the use and appreciation of the Hindi language among the university community.

As part of the celebrations, the Central Library hosted a special Hindi Book Display, showcasing a rich collection of works by famous Hindi poets and prose writers, alongside a wide range of subject-related books in Hindi. The display received an enthusiastic response from students and faculty, who actively engaged with the collection and borrowed numerous books for their academic and personal growth.

Christofhar Sudhir George, Librarian at SHUATS, noted, “The Central Library boasts a rich and diverse collection and is committed to organizing educational activities that contribute to the holistic development of our users. Hindi Pakhwada is one of many such initiatives aimed at fostering a love for literature and learning.”

Further enhancing the festivities, the library also organized a Hindi Poem Recitation Reel Activity for students. The event saw spirited participation from students, who created and shared original Hindi poem reels. Participants included: Ravi Yadav (Warner College of Dairy Technology), Vijaya Mourya (Naini Agricultural Institute) and Krishna Maurya (Naini Agricultural Institute). Adding a unique touch, Librarian Mr. Christofhar Sudhir George also contributed by presenting a Hindi poem recitation reel generated with the use of artificial intelligence. The event highlights the university’s dedication to promoting cultural and linguistic diversity alongside academic excellence.
