Till now over 60L students in state benefited
Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi distributed free tablets to students at Ishwar Sharan Degree College on Saturday under the Uttar Pradesh government’s ambitious Swami Vivekananda Empowerment (DigiShakti) scheme. During the event, Minister Nandi stated that the efforts of Ishwar Sharan College, established in 1970, to provide quality modern education and inculcate civic sense in students are commendable. Minister Nandi added that with the aim of connecting youth with modern technology and making them tech-savvy, the government has taken the unprecedented decision to provide free smartphones and tablets to young people. So far, more than 6 million students in the state have benefited from this scheme. The smartphones and tablets being distributed under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme will become the foundation for their overall personality development.
In today’s world, technological knowledge and access to digital services are essential for efficiency. Recognizing this need of the hour, our government has taken an unprecedented decision to connect youth to the digital world. It is the top priority of our double-engine government that no student’s economic background should become a barrier to their studies and personality development. It is our commitment to ensure that young people have equal opportunities for progress based on their abilities and hard work. This scheme is a direct proof of that resolve! The use of these smartphones and tablets will make students’ studies more smooth and effective, and will prove to be helpful in research capacity and innovation! On this occasion, dignitaries such as Krishna Mohan, Principal Prof. Anand Shankar Singh, Manoj Kumar Dubey, Mrs. Gayatri Singh, Chief Proctor Prof. Man Singh, Prof. Dheeraj, Dr. Gaurav Rai, former minister Babu Lal Bhanvra, spokesperson of Kalnaganj Inter College Neeraj Dixit, BJP Metropolitan Vice President Anil Kesarwani Jhallar, Upendra Singh, and others were present.
