Prayagraj: The Garba and Dandiya festival, organized on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Ashutosh Memorial School, located in Dhanaicha-Malkhanpur, Hanumanganj. Dr. Archana Singh, Director of the Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Social Sciences, and Anand Pandey, Principal of Central Academy Senior Secondary School, were the chief guests. The program began with the performance of aarti for nine girls dressed as Navdurga. Following this, the sisters, Aastha and Anushka, mesmerized the audience with three melodious hymns dedicated to the Mother Goddess. The school children enthralled the audience with a colorful program. Damini, a Class 7 student, presented a depiction and dance depicting the destructive form of Goddess Kali. Following the program, guests conducted a lucky draw, in which the first, second, and third prizes were awarded: a bicycle mixer, a juicer, an iron, and 50 gift hampers. A large number of dignitaries and parents were present at the event. In the third phase of the program, Garba and Dandiya were organized. In which the invited guests, parents and school children enjoyed Garba with great enthusiasm. Earlier, on their arrival at the school premises, Chairman Professor JPN Mishra and Director Dr. Girish Kumar Pandey welcomed all the guests. With the excellent cooperation of all the teachers of the school, the program was completed in a dignified manner. The stage was conducted by teacher Vatendra Kumar Singh.
