Wesley and Saumya oF SHUATS lifts mixed doubles title
Prayagraj: Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) celebrates a moment of immense pride as its faculty and staff clinched multiple titles at the recently concluded Late Baleshwar Prasad Srivastava Memorial Badminton Tournament 2025, held at APS, Prayagraj. Leading the charge was Professor (Dr.) C. John Wesley, Additional Registrar and Chairman of the Athletics Committee, who demonstrated exceptional performance across several categories:Mixed Doubles Title: Prof. (Dr.) C. John Wesley and Saumya, JRA – SHUATS, showcased excellent teamwork to secure the prestigious Mixed Doubles Championship title.
Veteran Doubles Title (35+ Category): Prof. (Dr.) C. John Wesley partnered with Er. Anil Samuel, Director, Estate, to win the Doubles Title in the competitive 35+ Veteran Category.
Men’s Doubles Runner-up: Prof. (Dr.) C. John Wesley teamed up with Amber Gupta, a B.P.Ed. student of SHUATS, to finish as the Runner-up in the Men’s Doubles Category.
