Prayagraj: Expressing outrage over the Thursday night murder of journalist L.N. Singh, the Prayagraj district unit of the National Union of Journalists India paid tribute to the deceased journalist and expressed condolences to his family. They demanded security and financial assistance for the victim’s family, a job for the journalist’s wife, and free education for his children. The National Union of Journalists India stands with the deceased journalist’s family in this hour of grief. In a condolence meeting chaired by Kundan Srivastava, President of the Prayagraj district unit of the National Union of Journalists India, and in the presence of Pawan Divedi, Patron of the district unit, and Parvez Alam, all members resolved to strongly condemn the murder of their fellow journalist and demand the government provide special services to the deceased journalist’s family as soon as possible, and implement the State Journalist Protection Bill.

It is worth noting that on Thursday night, journalist Laxmi Narayan Singh alias Pappu (LN Singh) was stabbed to death 20 to 25 times by criminals near Hotel Harsh in Civil Lines. This murder has caused widespread outrage among journalists throughout Prayagraj.

Naseem, in-charge Yamuna Par, Devashish Srivastava, co-in-charge Yamuna Par, executive members Shitala Prasad Tiwari, Anil Tripathi, Rajiv Kumar Singh, Nafees Ahmed, Ishrat Ali, Girish Pandey, Gaurav Tripathi, Manoj Kumar, Mohd. Shakeel Khan, Pawan Dev, Syed Suhail Khan, Jitendra Kumar Singh, Shivji Malviya, Anand Srivastava, Amit Srivastava, Bhal Chandra Pandey, Moolchand. Bharti Anirudh Tripathi, Rakesh Kumar Pal and other office bearers and members were present in large numbers.
