Prayagraj: Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary will be celebrated as National Unity Day on October 31. On this occasion, Bharatiya Janata Party will launch the Run for Unity programme. Spokesperson Rajesh Kesarwani said that Run for Unity will be organised from October 31 to November 25 to spread the message of the work done by India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for the nation. On October 31, BJP workers will garland the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and organise a unity run. Apart from this, programmes to pay tribute to Sardar Ji will be organised at all the booths in Prayagraj metropolis, Ganga Par and Yamuna Par. Apart from this, there will be an 8 to 10 kilometre long foot march for three days in all the districts of every parliamentary constituency.
Various pre-event activities will be organized in schools and colleges in which debate competitions, seminars based on the life of Sardar Patel ji, street plays, essay competitions, art competitions, rangoli competitions will be organized, in the meantime, the oath of drug-free India will be taken among the youth, Swadeshi fairs will be organized in the institutions, health camps, cleanliness drives, self-reliant India oath, certificates will be distributed by organizing cultural programs, and from 26 November to 6 December, a national padyatra of 152 km will be taken out from Karamsad (birthplace of Patel ji) to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, in which Yuva Morcha workers from every district of India will participate.
