Prayagraj: Under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, the District Science Club of Prayagraj organized a district-level science model competition and awards ceremony at K.P. Intermediate College, Prayagraj. Held under the direction of Chief Development Officer-in-Charge, Prayagraj, G.P. Kushwaha, and District School Inspector, Mr. P.N. Singh, 150 students from grades 9 to 12 of the district’s secondary schools presented their science exhibits. The competition was attended by the Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council, Bhagwati Singh, as the chief guest, and the District School Inspector, Prayagraj, P.N. Singh, as the special guest. Shri Bhagwati Singh praised the students’ creativity, imagination, and innovation in the science models. He stated that science makes difficult lives easier. He explained that teachers should identify students who have the curiosity to ask questions. In fact, curiosity is the foundation of science. He also commended the District Science Club for providing a platform to the students. The District School Inspector honored the chief guest with a robe and a memento. Principal of KP Inter College, Yogendra Singh, welcomed all the guests, and coordinator Dr. Lalji Yadav presented the program outline. The first prize in the competition went to Shivansh Yadav of IKM Inter College, Anapur. The second prize went to Shlok Tripathi of Rani Revati Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College. The third prize went to Vaishnavi Tiwari of Ramadevi Girls Inter College. Avdhesh Kumar Gupta of GGIC, Prayagraj, and Ujjwal Yadav of KP Inter College received consolation prizes of Rs. 5,000, 3,000, 2,000, and 1,000, respectively. Jwala Devi Inter College Ankush Tripathi of RP Rastogi Inter College, Samrat Vishwakarma of Arya Kanya Inter College, Manur Fatima of Hamidia Girls Inter College, Uruj Asma of Khalsa Girls Inter College, Anuradha Bind of Lala Manmohan Das Inter College, Shivsevak Tripathi of CAB Inter College, Ishwar Deen Chhedilal Inter College, Chirag Dwivedi of Mary Wanamaker Girls Inter College, Suchita Vishwakarma of Girls Inter College and Shreyasi Srivastava of Gauri Pathshala Inter College were also selected on the basis of their excellent performance.
