Prayagraj: The fourth annual convention and felicitation ceremony of Vishnupuri Vikas Samiti was organized with great pomp in the temple premises located at Lane No. 16. In the presence of Vinod Kumar Singh, former judge, Chairman of this annual convention and Gyanendra Singh, Chief Engineer of Indian Defence Engineering Service, as the special guest, Rajendra Prasad Tiwari, former senior journalist, Indrajit Singh Yadav, a former soldier who won the wars of 1965 and 1971, Virendra Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer, Electricity Distribution Center, Bamrauli and his father Man Singh, former Pradhan, Vijay Singh, were present on the stage as the patron board along with the Chairman of Vikas Samiti, Dr. Man Singh.

Along with welcoming the respected platform and the people present, the Chairman and the Board of Patrons were also welcomed by presenting them with robes. In the series of honours, Dr Mansingh, Surendra Yadav, Vijay Singh ji and Gajadhar Singh, who made the intensive membership drive of the committee successful, were welcomed with robes and tricolour plaque along with the Committee’s pride honour. Senior member Shri Gauri Shankar Singh, Internal Auditor, was honoured with robes for efficiently completing the editing and printing work of Vikas Samiti’s magazine Colony Darpan in a short period of time, and the General Secretary of the committee Shriram Shivhare was honoured with robes for playing a supporting role with Chairman Dr Mansingh.

This annual convention of Vikas Samiti was a glorious and historic convention in many dimensions because the first magazine of Vikas Samiti, Colony Darpan, was jointly released and in about 15 days more than 60 new members took lifetime membership and thus the number of lifetime members reached more than 111. Today also many respected members took membership and all lifetime members were given honor and membership certificates along with tricolor strip by the office bearers group of Vikas Samiti. Virendra Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer of Electricity Distribution Division Barauli, while expressing gratitude to Vikas Samiti, talked about continuous support for power supply. The Chairman and other guests reiterated their commitment to always play a constructive role with Vikas Samiti.
