This 95-year-old cantonment building has a medical facility of about 100 beds, in which today I got the opportunity to inaugurate the blood bank facility. Generally, an example of service spirit and discipline is seen in the cantonment hospital. It is a happy coincidence that the citizens also get full benefit of the facilities of this hospital. We assure that our government will continue to provide all possible support to this institution.
The first building of the hospital was constructed and made operational in the year 2020, laying the foundation for modern medical infrastructure. Following the implementation of the PPP model in 2022, Cantonment General Hospital, Prayagraj, has evolved from a purely general hospital to a tertiary care medical center. Several superspecialty clinics have been added. The installation of state-of-the-art radiology and automated pathology facilities has significantly enhanced the hospital’s critical care and diagnostic capabilities. All services, which were previously outsourced, are now provided at rates lower than CGHS rates. Now a new blood bank is also being established, which will meet the blood transfusion needs of both military personnel and civilians.
