Prayagraj: Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bihar’s great socialist thinker Babu Jagdev Prasad, a birth anniversary program was organized at the Rajapur office of the Pragatisheel Samaj Party. On this occasion, party officials and workers offered flowers on his portrait and pledged to carry forward the fight for social justice. Addressing the program, Advocate Manisha Mishra, convener of the Pragatisheel Samaj Party Mahila Morcha, said that Jagdev Prasad was the voice of the Bahujan Samaj. He taught the exploited to question the power. Today, when the rights of women and the deprived sections are being weakened, his thoughts are a guide for us. She said that his entire life was dedicated to the fight for rights, equality and share in power of the exploited and deprived sections.

Advocate Archana Kushwaha, state in-charge of the Mahila Morcha, said that Babu Jagdev Prasad gave the oppressed classes the courage to stand up for their rights. Women’s political participation was an important part of his dream. She added that the Pragatisheel Samaj Party is vigorously carrying forward the fight for social equality and representation that Babu Jagdev Prasad initiated.

Meanwhile, Advocate Nishtha Dev, State General Secretary of the Youth Front, said that Jagdev Prasad is a symbol of courage and struggle for the youth. She explained that change, not compromise with an unjust system, is necessary. Today’s youth must draw inspiration from his ideas and come forward in the fight for social justice.
