Prayagraj: Awareness campaigns are being conducted by Inspector Pawan Kumar Pandey in various educational and training institutions to encourage girl students to follow traffic rules and stay safe while driving. In this regard, NSS students at Hamidia Girls Degree College were given information on road safety.
During the awareness campaign, in the special training campaign of National Service Scheme, volunteer girl students were made aware about road safety and following traffic rules by Pawan Kumar Pandey. The youth were given information about road safety rules. Along with this, two-wheeler drivers and their co-passengers were made to wear helmets and four-wheeler riders were made to wear seat belts. An appeal was made to protect oneself and one’s family by following traffic rules by wearing helmet and seat belt regularly. During the awareness campaign, the youth were made aware about the rules and methods of obtaining a license. People were made aware about not driving a vehicle without license before the age of 18, not using mobile phone while driving, always helping the injured, giving way to emergency vehicles, following traffic signals and signs, mandatorily installing high security number plates at the back of vehicles, and always following traffic rules. At the end of the event, college principal Professor Naseha Usmani praised the lecture while giving certificates. Children were honoured by conducting a quiz. During this, programme officer Professor Sabiha Azmi, Doctor Shabnam Ara, Doctor Shabana Aziz and Child Line 1098 member Nitish Shukla were present.
