Prayagraj: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a grand ceremony was held at the NGIT Institute in Teliyarganj on March 8th. Women who have made significant contributions to the city’s social and educational sectors were honored with the “Matri Shakti Gaurav Samman 2026.” The program included a detailed discussion on the role of women, their contributions to education, and society. The program began with the lighting of a lamp. Senior social worker and educator Shrinarayan Yadav presided over the event, and senior social worker and educator Brahmaprakash Tiwari conducted the program. Chief guests Dr. Neeta Sahu and NGIT Director Javed Siddiqui presented former Additional Chief Standing Counsel Subhash Rathi, Dr. Naz Fatima, Dr. Sweety Maurya, and senior social worker Anuradha with the “Matri Shakti Gaurav Samman 2026” by presenting them with robes, mementos, certificates, garlands, and bouquets. On this occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Neeta Sahu said, “Women’s empowerment is possible only when women are educated, aware, and self-reliant. They said, “Where values ​​are present, Goddess Lakshmi resides, and only then does the family and society prosper.” Program coordinator and NGIT Director Javed Siddiqui welcomed all the guests and honored women, saying,

“The pain in your heart will also subside. Try removing a thorn from someone’s foot.” His inspiring message was met with applause from the audience. Employee leader Ravi Shankar Mishra, in his address, stated that women themselves play an important role in women’s empowerment. He added that behind every successful man lies the blessings and inspiration of some kind of mother figure. On this occasion, 16 other women from the city were also honored for their active contributions to social work.
