Prayagraj: On the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, the most virtuous person, a grand procession of Lord Rama was organized with great pomp and show by the Shri Ram Janmotsav Shobha Yatra Committee. The procession was inaugurated by Mahant Yamunapuri Maharaj, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, MLA Harsh Vardhan Vajpayee, former Cabinet Minister Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur, BJP Area President Awadhesh Chandra Gupta, BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, Dr. Kritika Agarwal, and BJP leader Rajesh Kesarwani, with a collective Maha Aarti. On this occasion, the founder and treasurer of the committee Prakash Vaishya, patron councilor Rajesh Nishad, president Sunil Rastogi, working president Subhash Chandra Vaishya, general secretary Satyajit Singh welcomed the guests by making them wear turban and angavastram.
The procession included victory flags, DJ bands, and beautiful tableaux of Lord Ganesha, Hanuman Ji Maharaj, Maa Durga, Kali Maa, and other deities. The procession began at Dinesh Tent House, Radharaman Inter College, passing through Mori, Miragali, GT Road, Nirala Square, Bakshi Trimuhani, and Phulwariyan Road before returning to Radharaman Inter College. The procession was conducted by Working President Subhash Chandra Vaishya and coordinated by Satyajit Singh.
The procession was mainly attended by VHP leader Lalmani Tiwari, Lavlesh Pandey, councilor Anupama Pandey, Raghavendra Singh, Bharat Nishad, Vipin Jaiswal, Shivir Srivastava, Harikesh Bahadur Singh, Vikram Nishad, Rajesh Pathak, Anil Shukla, Mamta Vaishya, Atul Kushwaha, Dilip Nishad, Vikas Joshi, Sonu Nishad, Anant Joshi, KK Pathak, Goldy Dubey, Ajay Yadav, Pawan Yadav, Kanchan, Soumya, Udbhav, Sarita Singh, Vinod Vaishya, Neeraj Shyamji Gupta, Vinod Shukla, Sanjay Sonkar, etc. Hundreds of Ram devotees participated.
