Extends fee support to children of ‘Ek Pahal Shiksha Samiti’

On Sunday, demonstrating its commitment towards social welfare, Mahila Chetna Club distributed school bags and educational materials to underprivileged children associated with ‘Ek Pahal Shiksha Samiti’. The program was organised at IFFCO Community Centre, Ghiyanagar. The initiative aims to encourage children from economically weaker and marginalized sections to pursue education and build a brighter future.

It is noteworthy that these children belong to extremely disadvantaged backgrounds. Their families do not have permanent housing and are living in unauthorized slum settlements. Earlier, many of these children were engaged in rag-picking activities along with their parents, but now efforts are being made to bring positive change in their lives through education. On this occasion, the Club also sponsored six months’ tuition fees for around 50 students of classes 9, 10, 11, and 12. This support will significantly help them continue their education without interruption.

During the program, members of the Club interacted with the children, explained the importance of education, and motivated them to attend school regularly. The joy on the children’s faces upon receiving the materials created a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

The event was graced by the presence of Club President Sarita Singh, Secretary Kiran Badwar, Social Secretary Geeta Singh, and Treasurer Neeru Saxena. The program was conducted by Kiran Badwar. Distinguished guests Nupur Parasar, Rekha Jaiswal, and Puspa Yadav were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, President Sarita Singh highlighted the importance of education, citing the example of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who overcame early hardships through determination and hard work. She inspired the children by saying that while we cannot choose the family we are born into, we can shape our future through our efforts and choices.

She further encouraged the children by reciting the famous line of poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, “Koshish karne walon ki kabhi haar nahi hoti,” motivating them to keep striving in life. At the end of the program, Vivek Dubey, founding member of ‘Ek Pahal Shiksha Samiti’, expressed his gratitude to Mahila Chetna Club and said that this support will greatly help the children in their studies. The Club members stated that such social initiatives will continue in the future to support and educate more needy children.
