Prayagraj: ‘MNREGA Bachao Chaupal’ was organized on Monday in Abhaipur, Gangapar. The chief guest of the program, Gangapar Congress District President Ashfaq Ahmed, discussed the problems of the villagers and the current situation of the country in detail during the Chaupal. Thereafter, while addressing the Chaupal, he said that an important scheme like MNREGA is in crisis today and the workers are not getting work and wages on time. Taking aim at the Central and State governments, he said that today the public is facing the double blow of inflation. Concern was expressed especially over the long lines for petrol and diesel and the huge shortage of LPG in Chaupal. Ahmed said that fuel shortage and rising prices have broken the back of the common man. Along with this, local villagers also registered their complaints regarding ration and basic facilities. A large number of villagers and local Congress workers were present on this occasion, who demanded smooth running of MNREGA and curbing inflationCongress leaders warned that if these problems are not resolved soon and MNREGA workers do not get their due rights, then the Congress party will be forced to take to the streets and agitate. The program was conducted by District General Secretary Sunil Pandey and chaired by Dr. Amar Singh Patel, Chairman of the Medical Cell.
