Prayagraj: Late Nimai Bhattacharya Memorial Veteran Football Tournament kicked off today, where All Time Star defeated Youngster Star by 4–0 in the (opening) match and secured 3 points. In this match, Abu Bakar Khan scored two goals, while Shahid and Subhash Pandey scored one goal each. In the second match, Allahabad Police defeated Heart Care Center by 2–1 and earned 3 points.

The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Pranay Bhushan Pandey, and the guests were welcomed by Organizing Secretary Sanjay Bhattacharya and President Tarun Chakravarti. Among the dignitaries present were Narayan Gopal (President, District Football Association), Maqbool Ahmad (Secretary, District Football Association), Prem Bhutani, Amarjeet (Councilor), and Dr. Omer (Heart Specialist).
