Prayagraj: The news of the passing of legendary and versatile singer Asha Bhosle has sent shockwaves among music lovers and artists across the country. She breathed her last on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Her death has left everyone stunned. Members of the Namaste Bharat family and social workers expressed their condolences, calling it an irreparable loss to the music world. Narendra Kheda, coordinator of the Namaste Bharat family, said, “This is a deeply sad moment for the Indian music world. Asha ji took music to new heights with her unique voice and immortal songs. Her voice and art will always live on in our hearts.”
Bhajan singer Manoj Gupta, the organization’s patron, said, “Asha ji was a versatile singer. Her loss is indescribable. We are all deeply saddened by her passing. Musicians from all walks of life loved her deeply.” Patron Piyush Jaiswal said, “Asha ji was one of the greatest singers of the century. The greatest thing about her singing was the profound modulation in her voice, a quality not typically found in other singers.”
