Prayagraj: The Minority Department of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has officially released the list of Assembly-wise Observers, accelerating preparations for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026. In this important list, Abdul Kalam Azad has been appointed as the Chief Observer for the 62-Bhagwangola Assembly Constituency.
The appointments were made on the recommendation of Imran Pratapgarhi, National President of the Minority Affairs Department and Rajya Sabha MP. The list, released by Dr. Jamal Hasan, National Coordinator of the AICC Minority Affairs Department and in-charge of West Bengal, prioritizes loyal and active leaders.
Key Responsibilities: As observer, Abdul Kalam Azad will oversee the party’s election strategy, booth management, and coordination with grassroots workers in the Bhagwangola Assembly constituency. His primary responsibility will be to ensure transparency and organizational strength during the elections. Prominent among those who offered their congratulations included former city Congress president Pradeep Kumar Mishra Anshuman, former Metropolitan Organization Secretary Vinay Pandey, Mohammad Irfan, Irshad Ullah, Chandra Vishal, Anoop Singh, Ishtiaq Ahmed, and Satish Chandra Srivastava.
