Request made to Chief Engineer for amendment of office order of Executive Engineer

Prayagraj: How will illiterate peons, watchmen, boatmen etc. holders of posts run Mission Karmayogi? The office order of the Executive Engineer, Construction Block 4, Kumbh Mela, Public Works Department, Prayagraj, in which pressure was put on all Class IV employees for Mission Karmayogi training and they were threatened that the salaries of those employees who do not submit will be withheld for the month of April. Opposing this office order, Ravi Shankar Mishra, Divisional President of PWD Regular Work Charge Employees Union, complained to the Chief Engineer and pleaded that the Tughlaq decree of the Executive Engineer should be amended and the order should be passed in the national interest, department interest and employee interest. While the Executive Engineer knows that the holders of posts like Beldar, Chowkidar, Mallah etc. are illiterate and uneducated, they do not have mobile phones and if they have, then it is a keypad. How will they operate Mission Karmayogi? There is no order to withhold the salaries of the employees anywhere in the government order. The Executive Engineer is carrying out work beyond the government order. Not only this, the employee is working in 43°C temperature on the roadside, about 50 km away from the headquarters. He will come to the headquarters in a panic due to the fear of salary deduction and if someone is with him, he will come in a hurry. If any untoward incident occurs, the responsibility will be of the Executive Engineer, Construction Block 4, Kumbh Mela, and the Union will be bound to take action under the relevant section.

When the employee is illiterate and uneducated, there should be a high level investigation into how he is being given a certificate by the department.

District President Phoolchand Yadav, Patron Ram Sufal Verma, Divisional Minister Dharamraj Yadav, District Minister Ram Achal Pal, Vijay Bharat, Lal Ji Pal, Premshankar Patel, Sanjeet Kumar, Jai Prakash, Mukesh Kumar, Dhruv, Ashok, Jabar Singh, Santosh Kumar Gupta, Sandeep Kushwaha, Ram Niranjan, Dhanraj, Ramkumar etc. registered their protest in the meeting of the association.
