Prayagraj: Under the joint aegis of Cant High School (New Cantt, Prayagraj) and the Atharvan Foundation, an awareness program was organized today on the occasion of World Earth Day (April 22). To mark this occasion, various activities focused on environmental conservation and responsibility towards nature were conducted within the school premises. The primary objective of the program was to foster environmental awareness among students and to inspire them to contribute to the preservation of the Earth. The event featured a tree-plantation drive, a cleanliness campaign, and competitions involving speeches, plays, and posters on environmental themes. Students who demonstrated outstanding performance were felicitated by the Atharvan Foundation. Speakers present at the program emphasized that the Earth is our heritage and that it is the duty of every individual to safeguard it. They appealed to the students to contribute to environmental conservation through small, conscious efforts in their daily lives.
The school Principal, Mr. Mohd. Ansar, along with representatives from the Atharvan Foundation, jointly administered an environmental conservation pledge to the students. The program concluded with everyone collectively resolving to make the Earth clean, green, and safe. Distinguished guests present on this occasion included Atharvan Foundation representatives Dr. Kanchan Mishra (Secretary), Mr. Shailendra Singh (Vice President), and Dr. Alka Das (Speaker & Senior Gynecologist), among others.
