Prayagraj: The oath taking ceremony of the Media Club was held with grandeur and divine pomp in the Sangam city of Prayagraj. The oath taking ceremony of the Media Club for the year 2026 was organized at Prayag Garden located at Katra Jagram Square. Allahabad High Court Bar Association President and Media Club Convenor Rakesh Pandey Babua and Sanatani Kinnar Akhara’s Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kaushalya Nand Giri, Sarafa Vyapar Mandal President Dinesh Singh, Advocate Arif Iqbal, Doctor Firoz, Doctor Altaf Ahmed participated in the oath taking ceremony of the Media Club. The program started with the national anthem, after which the lamp lighting ceremony took place with Ganesh Mantra. Media Club Convenor Rakesh Pandey administered the oath to President Anupam Shukla and Secretary Ajit Singh, Joint Secretary Santosh Sharma, Senior Vice President Imran Yusufi, Vice President Kuldeep Singh, Treasurer Anwar Khan, Legal Advisor Advocate Arif Iqbal. Arif Iqbal has ties to the Board of Revenue, the CBI Court, SIDBI, GIC Housing Finance, the Bank of India, and Aryavarta Bank. He has held state-level roles in the AIMIM and the LJP before running for and losing assembly and parliamentary elections. He has constituted the Rashtriya Samajik Nyay Morcha, where he serves as president.
Appointment of Legal Advisor Advocate Arif Iqbal will go a long way in creating awareness and self-respect in the media community. Experience of Arif Iqbal in social and professional career will promote education, health, employment and scientific outlook, to ensure social justice, political participation and economic empowerment, to strengthen the spirit of religious harmony and nationalism among media community. Arif Iqbal hailed the role of media in his address and extended his support to club in every step of the way.
Others included TK Pandey Publication Minister, Joint Publication Minister Shakeel Khan, Office Incharge G.N Vais, Joint Office Incharge Vilas Gupta. After this, the executive members were administered the oath collectively. Prashant Sharma, Syed Mohammad were among those who took the oath. Naseem, Salman Ahmed, Alok Jaiswal, Syed Mohammad Aamir, Dr. Altaf, Dr. Firoz, Anurag Dubey, Akash Gupta, Ajay Kushwaha, Shyamu Kushwaha, Rahim Ahmed were present, from the president to the executive members, along with taking the club forward and strengthening it, they also took an oath to do unbiased journalism and maintain the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Journalist Vishal Talwar was appointed as the Chief Advisor in the oath taking ceremony of the Media Club, while the guests and social workers who attended the program were honored by wearing clothes and garlands, and after the program, everyone had a meal together.
