Fine of Rs. 3,76,426/- collected by charging 503 passengers
Prayagraj: The division, under the direction of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager/Coaching, Mr. Harimohan, runs various campaigns to provide excellent facilities to all its passengers. Prayagraj Division provides all passengers with good food, pure drinking water, and clean toilets, and also conducts ticket checking campaigns at stations and trains to curb ticketless and irregular travel.
An intensive ticket checking campaign was launched at Prayagraj Junction on May 6, 2026. Under this campaign, ticket checking staff took action against ticketless travelers, irregular travelers, smokers, and those carrying unbooked luggage, as per regulations.
During this special campaign, a total of 503 passengers were charged for various irregularities, and a total fine of Rs. 376,426 was collected. This included Rs. 228,120 from 235 ticketless passengers and Rs. 148,300 from 268 irregular passengers. This campaign not only contributed to revenue growth but also marked an important step towards maintaining discipline and cleanliness on railway premises. The Railway Administration appeals to all its esteemed passengers to follow the rules of travel, travel only with valid tickets, and maintain cleanliness on railway premises and in trains. Passengers are requested to dispose of garbage only in designated bins and to immediately report any inconvenience or irregularity to railway officials. Prayagraj Division is always committed to the convenience, safety and pleasant journey of the passengers and such campaigns will be continued in the future also.
