Prayagraj: Late P. K. Sur Memorial Women’s Football Tournament, organized by the George Town Football Association under the aegis of the District Football Association, Prayagraj, witnessed two Semifinal matches and the Final match today at Symonds Arena Ground.

In the first semifinal, Youngsters Women’s Team defeated Gopiganj Women’s B Team by 2-0 to enter the final. Before the match, Mr. Narayan Ji Gopal, President of the District Football Association, Prayagraj, was introduced to both the teams.

In the second semifinal, Madan Mohan Malaviya Stadium Team defeated Gopiganj A Team by 2-0 to secure a place in the final. Before the match, Mr. Andrew Haqq , President of the George Town Football Association, was introduced to both the teams. The final match was played between Madan Mohan Malaviya Stadium and Youngsters Women’s Team, in which Madan Mohan Malaviya Stadium defeated Youngsters Women’s Team by 1-0 to win the Championship Trophy. Shreya Yadav scored the winning goal for the victorious team.

Before the final match, the Chief Guests, former Allahabad High Court Judge Mr. B. Amit Sthalekar , Mrs. Binita Sur, and Mr. Adnan Ahmad were introduced to both teams. Mr. B. Amit Sthalekar and Mrs. Binita Sur presented the winner’s and runner-up trophies, while Mr. Adnan Ahmad distributed special prizes among the players. The referees’ prize was presented by Mrs. Mrinalini Sur. Mr. Andrew Haqq, President of the George Town Football Association, presented a memento to Hon’ble Judge Mr. B. Amit Sthalekar while Organizing Secretary Mr. Sanjay Bhattacharya presented mementos to Mrs. Binita Sur and Mr. Adnan Ahmad.  Mrs. Mrinalini Sur Sthalekar provided special support in making the tournament successful. On this occasion, Mr. Maqbool Ahmad,  Mr Narayan Ji Gopal, Mr Anil Das,  Mr A. K. Mani, Mr Yogesh Chandra, Mr Joel George & Mr Abrar Ahmad and others were present. In the end, Mr. Andrew Haqq, President of the George Town Football Association expressed his gratitude to all the guests and spectators.
