Prayagraj: The 35th death anniversary of the former young Prime Minister of India, late Rajiv Gandhi, was observed at Swaraj Bhawan, Prayagraj, under the leadership of former Metropolitan Congress Committee President Pradeep Mishra Anshuman. Many people attended the event and paid heartfelt tributes. Speaking on the occasion, the former Metropolitan Congress Committee Prayagraj President said that he had tragically died in a suicide attack in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, on May 21, 1991. This day of his death anniversary is remembered as ‘Anti-Terrorism Day’ in the country. Late Rajiv Gandhi ji dedicated himself to the creation of modern India. He strengthened the country technologically by bringing the Information Technology (IT) and telecommunication revolution in India. He strengthened the Panchayati Raj system to strengthen local self-governance. He reduced the voting age of youth from 21 years to 18 years. If Rajiv ji were among us today, the direction and condition of the country would have been different. Everyone would have been employed. The poor, farmers, laborers and the unemployed would not have been troubled. India would have had a different identity in the world. My heartfelt tribute to such a great soul. On the occasion of this death anniversary, prominent people present were Pradeep Mishra Anshuman, Diwakar Bhartiya, Vinay Pandey, Lallan Patel, Anoop Singh, Mohammad Irfan, Satish Chandra Srivastava, Rajendra Agarwal, Ramesh Jaiswal, Rajendra Kesarwani, Shubham Shukla, Saurabh Chaudhary.
