Prayagraj: Important review meeting was held in the Prayagraj Division’s Sankalp Auditorium, chaired by General Manager, North Central Railway, Mr. Naresh Pal Singh, with Prayagraj Division officials. The meeting discussed in detail the proposed Non-Interlocking (NI) work in Kanpur, the DFCCIL connectivity on the Chunar-Chhapra section, and various developmental works to further strengthen and streamline connectivity between Iradatganj and Link Junction. At the beginning of the meeting, Divisional Railway Manager/ Prayagraj Shri Rajneesh Agarwal welcomed the General Manager North Central Railway along with all the major department heads and officers who had come from the headquarters.

On this occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager presented detailed information regarding the proposed NI works in Kanpur through a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation stated that pre-NI works are scheduled from June 11th to June 20th, 2026, and NI works are scheduled for June 21st, 2026. Detailed information was also provided regarding the work to be undertaken by various departments, their time-bound action plans, and the availability of necessary resources.

In this context, the Divisional Railway Manager also provided detailed information regarding the progress of ongoing work for DFCCIL connectivity from Chunar Yard on the Chunar-Chhapra section. During the meeting, the proposal for the construction of a third line between Iradatganj and Link Junction was also discussed in detail. During the meeting, the General Manager directed that strict adherence to the deadlines for the proposed NI work in Kanpur be ensured. He also directed that all necessary arrangements be made in advance, keeping in mind the weather conditions, so that no inconvenience occurs during the work. He also directed that additional manpower be available and that better lighting be provided at work sites. The General Manager also directed that the entire execution plan be clearly shared at the supervisor level, so that all departments can coordinate and successfully complete the work within the stipulated timeframe. He placed special emphasis on giving top priority to safety, quality, and timeliness.

Additional General Manager Shri Yatindra Kumar, Chief Chief Operations Manager Shri Sharad Chandrayan, Chief Chief Mechanical Engineer Shri Anil Kumar Dwivedi, Chief Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer Shri Satendra Kumar, Chief Chief Safety Commissioner Shri Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Chief Chief Commercial Manager Shri Brijendra Kumar, Chief Chief Electrical Engineer Shri JCS Bora, Chief Chief Engineer Shri AK Manuwal, Additional Divisional Railway Manager/ Prayagraj Shri Deepak Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager/ Operations Shri MM Waris, Additional Divisional Railway Manager/ Infra Shri Dharanjay Singh and other branch officers of Prayagraj Division were present in the meeting.
