Urgent meeting held in CMO auditorium, warning of strike given

Prayagraj: An urgent meeting of the Diploma Pharmacist Association of Prayagraj was held in the Chief Medical Officer’s auditorium on Saturday to protest the change of portfolio. Pharmacists from across the district unanimously opposed the change, calling it against the interests of the pharmacist cadre.

The meeting was chaired by Ranvijay Singh. Minister Hariom Singh, spokesperson Madhukar Srivastava, and DPRA President Janak Singh were present. Speakers noted that the Uttar Pradesh Diploma Pharmacist Association, Lucknow, also agreed that the pharmacist cadre is not subject to the change of position.

Pharmacists demanded that, in the public interest, this cadre’s postings should not be changed. They warned that if the decision is not reversed, all pharmacists in Prayagraj district will be forced to protest and strike. The Chief Medical Officer of Prayagraj will be fully responsible for this.
