Memo submitted to Police Commissioner, stating land dispute and demanding impartial investigation

Prayagraj: A new twist has emerged in the alleged shooting incident that occurred a week ago at Devghat in the Airport police station area. Questions are now being raised about the FIR filed by fruit seller Vinod Singh, accusing unidentified individuals of shooting him. District Court advocate A.K. Tiwari, calling the entire incident a conspiracy, submitted a memorandum to the Police Commissioner demanding an impartial investigation.

The memorandum submitted by the advocate stated that Maiku Lal, a resident of Devghat, registered his land in the name of Mohammad Usman Arif in 2004 while his son Banarasi was in jail. Despite this, the names of Banarasi and his brothers continue to be recorded in the land records, an investigation of which is ongoing at the revenue level.

The memorandum alleges that Banarasi allegedly fraudulently sold the same land to another individual and, with the intention of implicating the opposing party, fabricated a false story of gunfire and filed an FIR. The advocates demanded an impartial and thorough investigation into the entire matter.

Meanwhile, Airport Police Station in-charge Rajesh Upadhyay said that a case was registered against unknown individuals based on Vinod Singh’s complaint, but the investigation so far has not confirmed any gunshots. Police are investigating all aspects and will take further action based on the evidence.
