Prayagraj: A Chaupal program was organized by the Congress Party in Padraiya. Speaking at the event, Congress Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed, who spoke prominently about inflation, unemployment, and farmers’ problems, said the BJP government has failed on all fronts. He listened to local residents’ drainage-related problems and spoke with the Block Development Officer, demanding a speedy resolution.
During the Chaupal, villagers reported that poor drainage systems in the area lead to waterlogging, disrupting traffic, and the situation worsens during the rainy season. Residents complained that drains are not cleaned and repaired on time, leading to accumulation of dirty water on roads and around homes. After listening carefully to the people, District President Ashfaq Ahmed contacted the Block Development Officer by phone and urged him to resolve the problem quickly. He stated that resolving public issues should be the administration’s priority, and the Congress Party has and will continue to fight for the people’s interests.
