Members fulfilled their social responsibility by donating blood, Rotary and Rotaract members participated enthusiastically
Prayagraj: Rotary Prayagraj Sangam organized a voluntary blood donation camp today at Hotel Rama Continental, Civil Lines, Prayagraj. Twenty-three blood donors voluntarily donated blood at the camp, making an invaluable contribution to the life-saving campaign. Describing blood donation as the greatest means of human service, the donors urged other healthy citizens to come forward for this noble cause.
Rotarian Vishal Goyal, Rotarian Subodh Prakash, Rotarian Devesh Jaiswal, and Rotarian Sumit Tirkey, along with several other club members, donated blood on behalf of Rotary Prayagraj Sangam. Rotarian Shashi Vaishya of Rotary Prayagraj Platinum also contributed to this great donation.
The chief guest of the program was Rotary District 3120’s Prayagraj Region President, Blood Donation Rotarian Rishi Agarwal. Encouraging the blood donors, he said that voluntary blood donation is an important part of our social responsibility. Anyone can need blood at any time, and in such times, voluntary blood donors play the role of lifesavers for those in need. Rotarian Amarendra Singh, President of Rotary Prayagraj Sangam, said that Rotary International always prioritizes service to humanity. Through the blood donation camp, the club aims to increase awareness about voluntary blood donation in society and encourage more healthy people to join the campaign. He expressed his gratitude to all blood donors and partner organizations.
Club Blood Donation President Rotarian Pawan Kumar Sharma played a key role in organizing and arranging the camp. He stated that there is no artificial blood substitute available, and its availability depends on voluntary blood donors. Therefore, every healthy person should come forward to donate blood from time to time.
This blood donation camp was successfully held in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Prayagraj Sangam City, the Rotaract Club of Ifsad, and the Rotaract Club of Ice. Rotaract members actively participated in the arrangements and played a key role in motivating young people to donate blood. Rotarian Vivek Tripathi, Rotarian Arvind Shukla, and several other Rotary Prayagraj Sangam members and officials were present at the event. They encouraged the blood donors and pledged to organize such socially beneficial and public service programs on a larger scale in the future.
During the camp, blood donors were informed about the importance of blood donation and its social impact. Attendees noted that blood donation can benefit not only an acquaintance or loved one, but also an unknown person in need, giving life. This sentiment is what makes blood donation a “great donation.”
This service project by Rotary Prayagraj Sangam once again conveyed the message that through collective effort and social participation, significant contributions can be made toward saving the lives of many in need. The blood donation by 23 donors is an inspiring example of humanity and social responsibility. “Donate blood—save lives, fulfill the duty of humanity.”
