Women praised Lord Shiva and Parvati amidst songs, hymns and folk dances

Prayagraj: On the occasion of the auspicious festival of Haritalika Teej, a grand Teej festival was organized by the former Mayor of Prayagraj, Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, at Banshi Bhavan in Tagore Town. A large number of women enthusiastically participated in the festival. They enjoyed the festival with songs, hymns, and folk dances, and prayed for eternal good fortune and happiness and prosperity by praising Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Women, adorned in traditional attire and adorned with sixteen adornments, enthusiastically participated in the event. During the event, they applied henna to each other and danced to traditional Teej folk songs. The folk songs, dances, and music performances filled the atmosphere with joy and enthusiasm. Women and children also participated enthusiastically in the program.

On this occasion, former Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, while wishing all women a happy Haritalika Teej fast, said that Haritalika Teej is a cultural heritage. This festival not only expresses the cultural and religious characteristics of women but also provides them with an opportunity to become socially empowered. The festival of Teej inspires women to live a life of joy, love, and harmony with their family and society.

He said that in Indian culture, festivals and celebrations are not limited to religious beliefs, but also strengthen our traditions, values, and social unity. Haritalika Teej symbolizes the enthusiasm, faith, and dedication of women. Renowned singer Vikas Mishra and members of the Barsana family presented captivating bhajan performances at the festival. The women, moved by the bhajans, remembered Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The entire program was a beautiful blend of devotion, joy, and cultural colors.

Former BJP state minister Anamika Chaudhary, former city president Shashi Varshney, social worker Vibha Mishra, BJP leader Swati Gupta and a large number of women attended the event. Everyone greeted each other with joy and celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm.
