Prayagraj: Gajanan was decorated with yellow flowers and offered yellow modak laddus. Under the aegis of Nav Yuvak Sangh Ganesh Pujan Samiti Prachin Shiv Mandir Malakraj, the 16th Ganesh Mahotsav was inaugurated with the installation of the idol of Lord Ganesha in Malakraj Shiv Park. On this occasion, the convener of the committee Sunny Sonkar made Lord Ganesha sit on the throne and offered him yellow Modak Laddus and performed Aarti Pujan as per the rituals. On this occasion, Gajanan was decorated grandly with yellow flowers. And Sunder Kand Path was organized by Ramayan Bhajan Mandal Girish Tiwari. Media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani told that the Ganesh Utsav will continue for 10 days and every day Ganesh ji will be decorated differently and offerings will be made.
On this occasion, hundreds of devotees including Ravi Bhushan, Amit Sonkar, Himanshu Sonkar, Shubham Sagar, Monu Bhartiya, Navneet, Saurabh, Anuj Sonkar etc. of the committee performed aarti of Lord Ganesha and distributed prasad.
