Prayagraj: In the sequence of various programs organized under the Official Language Hindi Week (10.09.2026 to 16.09.2026) at Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya (RTMM), Constituent Allahabad University, Malviya Nagar, Prayagraj, on Monday an inter-college competition was organized for recitation of poems of Hindi poets. Contestants from various colleges participated in it and as a judge, Dr. Kalpana Verma, retired Associate Principal, Arya Kanya Degree College, made the program meaningful.

Firstly, the programme was inaugurated by Patron Principal Professor Ajay Prakash Khare, Coordinator Neelima Singh, and Judge Dr. Kalpana Verma by lighting the lamp and garlanding the photographs of Goddess Saraswati and Hindi Sevak, Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon ji.

In the sequence of poetry recitation, the first lesson was recited by Khushi of KP Training College, “I am asking you the truth, tell me Babuji,” a very touching presentation was given. In the same sequence, Prabhat Shukla, Aman Shukla, Ashish Pal, Dev Yadav, Ajit Gangwar, Zainab Khan, Khushi Yadav, Meenakshi Soni, Yashasvi Pandey, Arpit Tripathi, Samriddhi Shukla, Varsha Shukla, Akriti Shukla, Komal Verma, Akriti Pal, Ankit Kumar, Soumya Tiwari etc. also participated by reciting poems aloud.

After the competition, the judge Dr. Kalpana Verma gave a very concise guidance by doing an impartial analysis of all the participants, in which she analyzed the thoughts, feelings and described in detail the topics to be kept in mind in the presentation and also recited one of her own poems “Vichar Hai Yeh Satya” which differentiates between a girl and a boy.

The result of the competition was declared by Prof. Neelima Singh. In which first place was secured by Meenakshi Soni (Rajarshi Tandon Women’s College) and second place by Zainab Khan (SS Khanna).

Third place was jointly awarded to Arjit Gangwar (Ishwar Sharan College) and Samridhi Gupta (Allahabad University).

Arpit Tripathi and Prabha Tiwari (Allahabad University) jointly got the consolation prize. The coordinator of the above program, Professor Neelima Singh, expressed her gratitude. The program was conducted by Dr. Yashasvi Singh. In the above program organized by the college official language committee, on 15th September 2014, the play of Munshi Premchand’s story Algyozha will be presented by Banyan Kala Manch. On this occasion, teachers of the college, Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Dr. Amitendra Pratap Singh, Dr. Yashasvi Singh, Dr. Vivek Singh, Dr. Shaminaz, Dr. Manoj, Dr. Yashasvi Pandey, Dr. Abhishek, Mr. Naveen Pathak, students and researchers were present.
