Prayagraj: The meeting of the United Forum of Pensioner Welfare Association, Prayagraj, was held at Yogendra Pandey’s residence, 201, Bhusauli Tola, under the chairmanship of Sushil Kumar Srivastava and conducted by Yogendra Kumar Pandey. Uday Shankar Srivastava said that pensioners who retired before November 2026 should also receive the benefits of the Eighth Pay Commission, and the 18-month withheld DR should be immediately released. Vishwanath Prajapati pledged full support for the September 29th protest. Uday Chand Sonkar highlighted the power of pensioners’ unity. Ramkishore demanded the immediate abolition of the harassment of former pensioners and the validation clause, and vowed to continue raising his voice until their demands are met. Harishchandra expressed his full support. Rajesh Srivastava stated that this government is deaf and dumb, and must be redressed. He added that this government has bowed to the government, and pensioners will also be determined to have their demands met. Satyendra Bahadur Singh said that all political leaders who received pensions before January 2026 should first have their pensions suspended and all their due benefits terminated, before we can discuss pensioners. This government has completely pushed this country into poverty in just a few years; it must be taught a lesson.
Yogendra Pandey said that the youth should be given permanent jobs in all the departments currently available, their working hours should be reduced so that they can fulfill their family and social responsibilities, they should be given the facility of cash credit on earned leave every year as before, only with the positive energy of young sons our country will be able to establish its position as a world leader, privatization and outsourcing should be stopped immediately, the departments which have not yet received the benefits of the Seventh Pay Commission should definitely be given the same before the report of the Eighth Pay Commission comes, DR/DA should be determined on the basis of wholesale price index, so that all the pensioners and employee brothers of the country can get dearness allowance as per the inflation rise, it has been demanded that the journalist brothers should also be given pension on attaining the age of superannuation of 60 years after working continuously for 10 years in recognized print media or electronic media to earn a respectable living because all the three pillars of democracy get pension and the senior leaders of the government, who are currently holding the post of ministers, had promised to cover the fourth pillar with pension, still they are not fulfilling their promise, while giving the presidential address Sushil Kumar Srivastava said that United Forum is a confluence of many organizations, its unity is increasing day by day, many successes have been partially achieved through integrated efforts.
Governments have come from NPS to UPS, but we neither accept NPS nor UPS. We want nothing less than the restoration of the old pension scheme. Just as the old pension scheme is implemented in many states of our country, similarly this scheme should be implemented in our entire country. 20% interim relief should be given immediately from 1-1-26. An appeal has been made to all pensioner brothers to contribute enthusiastically in the protest on 29th September and make it successful. At the end of the meeting, a two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to Suresh Chandra ji, brother-in-law of Dwarka Prasad ji, an active member of the United Forum, on his sudden demise. On this occasion, eminent pensioners like Ramlal Chacha, Ramesh, Harishchandra, Arun Kumar Mehrotra, Nama, Nigar, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Virendra Kumar Pandey, Javed Akhtar, etc. were present.
