Late Khwaja Javed Akhtar Memorial Under-15 Football Tournament

Prayagraj: The Late Khwaja Javed Akhtar Memorial U-15 Football Tournament 2026 is being organized by the Youngsters Club Football Academy at the Symonds Arena, Chaufatka, Prayagraj. The city’s young football talents are performing brilliantly in the tournament. A total of eight teams are divided into two pools in the competition. Pool A consists of GTA, FUFC, YFA, and Sangam City, while Pool B consists of BLS FA, Youngster, PUFA, and Northern Football Academy. In the first quarter-final of the knockout matches played on 18 September, YFA defeated Sangam City 1–0. Then in the second match, FUFC defeated GTA 4–1. In the third quarter-final, PUFA defeated Daraganj Boys 2-0.
In the fourth quarter-final, Northern Football Academy defeated BLS Football Academy 3-1. Raghbir scored two goals and Smail scored one. Dr. Vaishali Saxena, Director, Yash Hospital, was the chief guest. The tournament is being organized by the Youngsters Club Football Academy. Sanjay Bhattacharya is the tournament secretary. Present on the occasion were Shabnam Rehman, wife of Khwaja Javed Akhtar; Khwaja Ahmed Hussain, brother of Javed Akhtar; and Narayanji Gopal, President, District Football Association.
