Students from 12 schools displayed their talent, confidence and expression skills in Elocution Competition
Prayagraj: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Rotary Prayagraj Platinum, in collaboration with all the Rotary Clubs of Prayagraj, organized a grand and successful “Rotary Elocution Competition” at BBS International School, Phaphamau. Students from 12 schools in Prayagraj enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their eloquence, confidence, logical ability, and impressive command of the Hindi language.
The program began with the lighting of lamps and a soulful Ganesh Vandana. Following this, a captivating cultural program presented by the students of BBS International School brought a beautiful touch of Indian culture and the Hindi language to the event. The program was organized under the leadership of Program Chairman and Charter President of Rotary Prayagraj Platinum, Rotarian Ritesh Singh.
District Secretary and Club President, Rotarian Ajay Sharma, welcomed and congratulated the special guest of honor, Dr. Avinash Kumar Srivastava, the presidents of various Rotary Clubs in Prayagraj, distinguished guests, teachers, students, and Rotarians present. He emphasized the need to provide such a platform for students to confidently express their talents and ideas, and to connect the new generation with the Hindi language and Indian culture.
The Elocution Competition was conducted by Shabnam and Avinash, teachers from BBS International School. Students from 12 schools presented their ideas with clarity, confidence, and a compelling style. The jury for the competition included Dr. Sneh Sudha, Dr. Priyanka Singh, and Rotarian Mandeep Srivastava. The results were compiled and coordinated by Club Secretary Rotarian Pramay Mittal.
The participants who secured first, second, and third place in the competition were honored with trophies. In addition, two participants were also awarded consolation prizes. Medals, certificates and mementos were awarded to all the students who participated in the competition, so that the efforts and participation of each participant could be honoured and encouraged.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from the presidents and members of various Rotary clubs in Prayagraj. This event served as an example of Rotary’s commitment to education, youth development, and the promotion of the Hindi language. Furthermore, the collective cooperation of various Rotary clubs strengthened mutual unity, harmony, and Rotary fellowship.
On behalf of Rotary Prayagraj Platinum family, Dr. Sharad Jain, Dr. Prateek Pandey, Rotarian Nitin Chopra, Rotarian Manish Garg, Rotarian Sanjay Singh, Rotarian Jaya Mittal, Rotarian Aarti Agarwal, Rotarian Ruchi Jaiswal, Rotarian Neha Jaiswal, Rotarian Deepak Gupta, Rotarian Manoj Agarwal, Rotarian Surya Prakash, Dr. Imran Ahmed and Rotarian Amit Jaiswal along with many members of Platinum family and Rotarians from various Rotary Clubs of Prayagraj were present.
On this occasion, Rotarian Manish Garg, media in-charge of Rotary Prayagraj Platinum, said that Hindi is not just our language, but also an important foundation of our culture, sensibility, and identity. Such events are crucial for developing communication, expression, and leadership skills in students. He said, “Today’s students have no shortage of talent and ideas; the only need is to provide them with the right platform. Programs like elocution competitions not only boost children’s self-confidence but also teach them to present their ideas logically and effectively. Rotary Prayagraj Platinum will continue to encourage such meaningful programs related to education, youth talent, and social development in the future.”
At the end of the program, Dr. Rishi Sahay, Director of BBS School, presented the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests, the jury, the participating schools, Rotary officials, teachers, students and all those who contributed in making the program a success. Organized by Rotary Prayagraj Platinum, this elocution competition was a beautiful confluence of education, Hindi language, culture, young talent, and Rotary fellowship. The event provided students with an inspiring opportunity to showcase their oratory skills, while also developing self-confidence, leadership, and public speaking skills.
