Message of Patriotism and National Unity Conveyed

Prayagraj: A special program was organized on Friday at the campus of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, to mark the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. Students, faculty members, staff, security officers, security personnel, and others present at the event sang the full verses of ‘Vande Mataram’ collectively with great enthusiasm and reverence. During the mass singing, the entire campus resonated with a spirit of patriotism and national unity.

Rakesh Sahu conducted the proceedings. Dr. Devi Singh highlighted the historical and national significance of ‘Vande Mataram’, while Dr. Deepak Bose underscored its role in fostering national consciousness. In his address, Ashish Massey, Head of the Department of Physical Education, spoke about patriotism, the duties of citizens towards the nation, and the need for mutual respect and harmony in society.

The event was attended by Jacob Joseph, security officers and security personnel; Dr. Sunita B. John, Dr. Achint Terence John, Ashok Kumar Singh, Sanjay Das, Naresh Kannaujia, Abrar, Azad, and Narendra from the Department of Physical Education; as well as a large number of students and other members of the university.
