Contributions to Rotary Foundation Strengthen Global Power of Service – Speakers Share
Prayagraj: Rotarians who made significant contributions to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) were honoured in a special Investment Awareness & TRF Heroes Felicitation Programme organised by Rotary Club of Prayagraj Sangam at Hotel Comfort Inn, Prayagraj. The main attraction of the programme was the TRF Heroes Felicitation Ceremony, in which members who strengthened the global campaign of human service through the Rotary Foundation were honoured by presenting them robes, certificates and gifts.
Speakers at the event noted that the Rotary Foundation is not merely a means of fundraising, but a powerful vehicle for transforming Rotarians’ contributions into lasting and impactful service projects. The Rotary Foundation works worldwide in areas such as education, health, sanitation, maternal and child health, disease prevention, and various other humanitarian areas.
Four TRF Heroes were specially honoured: Four members of the club were specially honoured as TRF Heroes for their contribution to the Rotary Foundation at the event.
Rtn. Dr. Garima Singh — Contributing US$ 1,000 to the Rotary Foundation as well as a significant contribution of Rs. 1,00,000 as District Patron.
Rtn. Dr. Amit Tripathi — Contribution of US$1,000 to the Rotary Foundation
Rtn. Mandeep Srivastava — Contribution of US$500 to the Rotary Foundation
Rtn. Sadhana Srivastava — Contribution of US$ 500 to the Rotary Foundation
All TRF Heroes who received the honor were presented with robes, certificates, and mementos. The members present cheered them on with applause.
The TRF Awareness Session was a special attraction: Keynote Speaker and special guest Rtn. Abhishek Verma, District Intercity Chairman, elaborated on the role of The Rotary Foundation and the various service activities it conducts. He explained how each contribution made by Rotarians can be part of a larger service. His presentation provided the members present with an opportunity to understand the purpose, functioning, and global impact of the Rotary Foundation.
Chief Guest Rtn. Shashank Jain, Assistant Governor, Rotary District 3120, congratulated the TRF Heroes and called on all Rotarians to contribute to the Rotary Foundation each year, according to their capacity and convenience. He said that the Foundation plays a vital role in making Rotary’s spirit of service effective globally.
Investment Awareness Session also organised: During the programme, an Investment Awareness Session was also organised by the Branch Manager of HDFC Mutual Fund, in which important information related to mutual fund investment, financial discipline and long-term investment approach was shared.
Other members were also honored: As part of the club’s monthly tradition, Rtn. Arvind Shukla was honored with the title of “Rotarian of the Month” and Rotaractor Parth was honored with the title of “Rotaractor of the Month” for their active participation and outstanding contribution. Medanta Hospital Privilege Cards, made available through the efforts of outgoing President of Rotary Prayagraj Sangam, Rtn. Pavan Ji Srivastava, were also distributed to the club members at the event.
The program was conducted by Rtn. Sachin Upadhyay and Rtn. Pinky Mukherjee. In the end, Club President Rtn. Amarendra Singh expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, Special Guest, Keynote Speaker, HDFC Mutual Fund team, TRF Heroes, Club members and dignitaries present. The program concluded with a cordial get-together and a loving feast. “Contribution to TRF is not just a sum of money, but a participation in that pledge of service which can bring a positive change in the life of a needy person in any corner of the world.” On this occasion, Rotary Club of Prayagraj Sangam described the contribution of TRF Heroes as an inspiring example of the club’s spirit of service and the spirit of “Service Above Self”.
