Prayagraj: Naseema Begum, a deaf and disabled resident of Bahadurganj, who has been honored with a state-level award from the Uttar Pradesh government, has made serious allegations of property usurpation against her own brother and associates. On Saturday, she arrived at the DCP City office, led by Rana Parveen, president of the Sahayog Mahila Bal Vikas Samiti, and Ajit Bhaskar, president of the Advocates Association of India.
The victim, Naseema Begum, alleges that her brothers, Nadeem Kamran, Salim, and Shamsher, took advantage of her helplessness. They fraudulently obtained a deed of her property and conspired to evict her from her home.
Naseema, who arrived with a placard reading “I can neither speak nor hear, justice must be done to me,” urged police officials to take immediate action and take strict legal action against all accused. After receiving the complaint, the police have assured an impartial investigation and appropriate action.
It is worth mentioning that disabled Naseema Begum of Prayagraj was honored with Nari Samman on Rajiv Gandhi Jayanti. Naseema Begum, a resident of Bahadurganj, Prayagraj, was awarded the Utkrisht Award by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for her excellent work in the social sector.
Where there is a will, there is a way. While we keep complaining about imperfections, there are people who are making the most of their imperfections and setting examples about what life is all about. The creativity and resilience of deaf and hard-of-hearing people is limitless. And this sounds true when we speak of Naseema Begum.
A Prayagraj lady who cannot talk or hear has always been helpful to the poor, defenceless, downtrodden, and crippled. Naseema Begum, who is deaf, is seen as the saviour for the poor. Whether it was a lockdown or a flood, she freely assisted the people, and she even assisted the poor individuals sitting on the sidewalk. Naseema Begum manufactures paper bags at home and assists others with the money she earns; such individuals should be promoted by the government so that they can serve as an example to others and continue to contribute to the advancement of society.
