A joint initiative of District Women’s Business Board and Rotary Club Prayagraj Platinum, women made aware via street plays
Prayagraj: A powerful street play was organized today at Chowk Ghantaghar, Prayagraj, under the joint auspices of the District Women’s Business Board and Rotary Club Prayagraj Platinum, as part of Mission Shakti, to promote women’s safety, respect, and empowerment. The program conveyed a message of awareness about women’s rights, safety, and self-reliance. A large number of women and local citizens gathered to watch the street play. Through their impressive performances, the performers presented important topics such as women’s safety, social awareness, and respect for women. The street play was presented by artists from the organization Swang Rang, under the direction of director Mr. Sachin Chandra. Performers included Harshita Tiwari, Muskan Das, Divyanshi Agrahari, Harsh Pandey, and Pankaj Pandey.
On this occasion, District Women’s Business Board President Mrs. Avantika Tandon, General Secretary Mrs. Hina Khan, Treasurer Mrs. Vandana Tripathi, and Malti graced the occasion. On behalf of Rotary Club Prayagraj Platinum, President Mr. Ajay Sharma, Secretary Mr. Pramay Mittal, Mr. Nitin Chopra, Mrs. Neha Jaiswal, and other members were present. On behalf of the police administration, Kotwal Mr. Sudhir Singh, Ghantaghar Chowki in-charge Mr. Anoop Verma, Mission Shakti in-charge of Kotwali police station Mrs. Saubhaya Gupta, Constable Rahul Gautam, Constable Rajkumar, Constable Vishesha, lady constable Pratibha Pandey and lady constable Jyoti Devi were present in the program. This program was organized under the direction of ACP Nikita Srivastava and on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Piyush Mordia to spread the message of women safety and awareness in accordance with the objectives of Mission Shakti.
The presence of Prayag Vyapar Mandal Secretary Mr. Suhail Ahmed, Akram Shagun, and youth leader Mr. Shubham Kesarwani also enhanced the dignity of the event. Mr. Akram Shagun, media in-charge of the District Women’s Business Board, played a key role in the media coverage of the event. He was present on the scene and provided media coverage of the entire event, contributing to spreading the message of women’s safety, respect, and empowerment through Mission Shakti.
The primary objective of this joint initiative is to convey the message that women’s empowerment is not just a campaign, but a collective responsibility towards building a safe, equal, and informed society. Only when women are aware of their rights and society provides them with equal opportunities and respect will it be possible to build a strong nation.
