By lighting lamp of health, mothers worshipped Mother Kalyani for happiness and prosperity

Prayagraj: On the occasion of Sharad Purnima, the courtyard of the Shaktipeeth Maa Kalyani Devi temple was decorated. On this occasion, the supernatural and grand annual Mahasringar of Maa Kalyani was done.

And the Mahabhishek (anointment) and Shodashopachar (six-fold worship) of Maa Kalyani was performed by Pandit Shyam Ji Pathak as per the rituals. At 7 pm, Pandit Sushil Pathak performed the Maha Aarti of Maa Kalyani with the sound of drums, bells and Ghadiyal. Pandit Sushil Pathak explained that the festival of Sharad Purnima is celebrated to wish for health, happiness and prosperity, which is dedicated to Mata Mahalakshmi, the goddess of happiness, prosperity and well-being. During this time, women lit the lamp of health and prayed to Mother Kalyani by fasting and worshipping.

Wishing for happiness and prosperity, media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani said that the court of the Mother Goddess remained open for the devotees till late night and Kheer Prasad was distributed to the devotees. Acharya Santoshanand Maharaj, Anil Pathak, Krishna Kumar Pathak, Rajesh Kesarwani, Sudhir Pathak, Mahendra Tiwari, Kamal Sardar etc. were involved in the arrangements.
