Prayagraj: Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)-2, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath transferred a grant of Rs 900 crore as the first installment to the bank accounts of 90,000 beneficiaries through a single click on Monday. These included 3,379 beneficiaries from the Sangam city of Prayagraj. The program held in Lucknow was broadcast live in the NIC room. Beneficiaries from Prayagraj interacted with the Chief Minister under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Government’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath virtually interacted with a beneficiary from Prayagraj district, Mrs. Archana, a resident of Kuwandih Sarai Inayat, Tehsil Phulpur, via video conferencing. He also received information about the benefits she was receiving under the schemes. Following the program at the NIC, 25 beneficiaries were given acceptance letters at a program held in the Sangam auditorium. A large number of beneficiaries were present on this occasion.
Minister Nandi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned housing, one of the basic human needs, as a comfortable, respectable, and convenient facility for everyone. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is continuously advancing this vision in the state. Before 2017, a permanent home for every urbanite was a distant dream. Our government is identifying the needy and providing them with housing without any discrimination.
He said that if a person completes his house within a year, he will be given a reward of Rs 10,000 by the state government and if she is a single woman then Rs 20,000 and if she is a senior citizen i.e. 60 years of age or above then she will be given a reward of Rs 30,000 separately, which will be separate from the construction cost.
Under the scheme, the first installment of Rs 1 lakh was sent directly to the accounts of 90 thousand beneficiaries through a single click by the Honourable Chief Minister. Minister Nandi said that we are proud that today we have a strong leadership in the state and the country due to which on the one hand we are achieving all-round development in every home, village, city, district, state and country, while on the other hand, India’s pride and glory is also being respected at the international level.
On this occasion, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, Koraon MLA Rajmani Kol, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, Additional Municipal Commissioner Municipal Corporation Arvind Rai, Project Officer Mrs. Pratibha Srivastava, Sub-District Magistrate Tapan Mishra, Rajendra Kesarwani Pappu Nimithariya, former divisional president Dilip Kesarwani, Ankush Chaurasia, Advocate Amit Kesarwani, Manoj Gupta etc. were present.
