Prayagraj: Vasantik Navratri commences, a large crowd of devotees gathered at the Kalyani Devi temple to visit and worship her. At 5:00 am. General Secretary Shyamji Pathak performed the worship, abhishek, and Mangala Aarti of Maa Kalyani. The temple doors were closed until 2:00 PM for the Goddess’s adornment. At 6:00 PM, the temple doors were reopened for devotees to view. From 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, devotees, chanting slogans, witnessed Maa Kalyani’s adornment in her Shailputri form.

At 7:00 PM, the Maha Aarti and the Shayan Aarti were performed by President Sushil Kumar Pathak at 12:30 AM. He further announced that on Friday, the second day of Navratri, Maa Kalyani will be adorned as Goddess Brahmacharini. She will stand in a meditative posture, holding a kamandalu (water pot) and garlands in her hands. The sanctum sanctorum will be decorated with various types of flowers. The Shat Chandi Maha Yagya, performed by 11 Vedic Brahmins, will begin at 8:00 AM and continue throughout Navratri. Today, devotees performed the Shat Chandi Maha Yagya and circumambulated the sanctum sanctorum. And under the Maa Kalyani Devi temple, the 54th Shri Ram Katha event was inaugurated by Shri Navsamvatsar Manas Samiti Kalyani Devi. On this occasion, Pujya Dr. Aniruddha Ji Maharaj, while making the devotees listen to the Shri Ram Katha on the first day, narrated the charming character of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram. The Katha was conducted by spokesperson Pandit Omkar Nath Tripathi. On this occasion, devotees like Anil Kumar Pathak, Krishna Kumar Pathak, Rajesh Kesarwani, Sudhir Sharma, Mahesh Tiwari etc. were present.
